When we think about sustainable transport, the electric car immediately comes to mind. The history of electric transport is more than 150 years old, even before that of combustion engines, and is full of events, at first promising, with positive peaks in the early twentieth century, then gradually declining.

The appearance of the first battery in 1799 favours the race for research in the electrical field, including in the field of mobility.

After the first developments at the end of the 19th century, in the early 20th century electric car factories spread to Europe and the United States of America. Also in Italy the first models began to circulate on the road.

It is estimated that between 1900 and 1910, 38% of cars on the road were electric, 40% steam-powered and 22% fossil-fuel-powered. The spread of electric propulsion is such that in New York and Detroit they also experimented with electrically powered rental services with driver.

However, the success of electricity is temporary. The discovery of enormous oil deposits in America determines the drastic decrease in the price of gasoline which, together with the appearance of the starter motor for the action of gasoline cars, causes the expansion of their transport.

Over the years, the technology has taken further steps to produce Audi's first fully electric SUV in 2019. In the first eight months of the same year alone, 6,453 electric cars were registered in Italy, indicating a reversal of the trend towards sustainable transport.

The electric car market is steadily growing. The decision to produce exclusively electric models instead of fossil fuels is affecting many car manufacturers. The only problem that remains unresolved today is the limited battery life and the high cost of cars. Technological innovation will certainly help to overcome these problems.

Thanks to the Sovereign Economic System, it will be possible to lay the foundations for the development of new players in the so-called "Green Mobility Sharing" on the market.

Moving easily over short and long distances in economy, and above all drastically reducing pollution and limiting environmental impact, is an urgent necessity for the respect and balance of nature.

A system that guarantees abundant funds allows an acceleration of the search for solutions suitable for the development of energy sources and cutting-edge means, definitively replacing fossil fuels, complicit in environmental disasters.
